A while back I set the Tivo to record all episodes of Penn & Teller's Bullshit, a great half hour show that dispels myths and generally makes fun of the dumbasses who perpetuate them. One episode, called The Best, looked at people's perception of having the best of everything. What makes something the best? Can you give someone the worst and convince them it's the best?
One of the things they did during this episode was classic. They took a guy from their staff and set him up near the kitchen of a fine dining restaurant and gave him the barest of essentials. They stocked his "kitchen" with really cheap food and had him do his best to dress it up as the fanciest food you'd ever see. Then they worked with some accomplices to get them to invite their significant others out for a dinner that they were convinced would be the ultimate dining experience. Each of the people being set up were douchebags who earned the right to get owned on their bullshit when it comes to food.
The only video I could find is below. The audio and video come together much better after a couple minutes in. It gets better and better as it goes along. Tim the waiter is fucking money. He nails it.
